Rebecca had recently made some renovations to her home when she contacted us looking to get her kitchen floor sanded and varnished. She was a bit nervous we might dirty her professionally painted walls or maybe wreck her brand-new living room carpet she had recently purchased. After some thought, she decided to put her trust in us and just hope we wouldn’t dirty any of her other renovations.
She had a couple of reasons for that trust too. Firstly, she was recommended us by her friend in work and after having a look through our website she decided to give us a call. Even after the referral and the browsing of our site, she still needed some reassurance that her walls and carpet would be fine.
She finally got over her fear after a quick chat with the owner Russell. He mentioned his high level of confidence in his crew and that finally organised a date and time for a quote and possible start date. Our flooring specialist responsible for measuring her floor and giving her a quote there and then made sure he was smartly dressed and more importantly, had new and clean shoes on upon arrival.
After a quick coffee and a discussion on price, everything was finally in motion and we would start work the next week for her. Some of our dust-free sanding images on our website came turned out to have some significance in Rebecca’s decision-making process.
Just before the crew got started on her kitchen floor, they actually wiped down and cleaned some of their equipment, just to make the client feel more comfortable with them walking in and getting started. The sanding was finished in just a couple of hours and the first coat of varnish was put on in minutes. Rebecca couldn’t believe her eyes when she couldn’t spot a spec of saw dust anywhere.
Russell himself actually showed up later to apply the third and final layer of varnish to her floor. They had a nice chat about home renovations which they both were really passionate about. Overall, great experience working for Rebecca and we are just happy she loved her newly sanded floor and we didn’t wreck her carpet or walls.
